Data Protection Statement for Clients

Volt Europe is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of its clients and to upholding data protection principles in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.  Personal data will be processed in accordance with the rights of the data subject under the Act.

Relevant company information and contact details will be held on our database and used to facilitate the search for appropriate personnel or other services which you have asked us to provide or search for.

Volt will take appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage to personal data held on our systems. In the event that Volt technical staff are required, in the course of their duties, to access data held on clients' own systems, these staff are made fully aware of their obligation to comply with the 1998 Act.

Personal data will be kept up to date wherever reasonably possible and will be kept no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is processed and authorised for use. If at any time you wish to have us delete, update or amend the details we hold about you, please advise database@volteurope.com.

We may share your details with other divisions within our group who provide a related service, which facilitates the service you require from us. If you receive unwanted communications from these other divisions, please advise us by replying with the word 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. We will not pass on your details to any third party outside the Volt Group without your prior written consent.

When you submit a job vacancy, unless you instruct us not to do so, the specific skill requirements may be posted on Internet job boards, but your company name and contact details will not be divulged until such time as you wish to interview any of the candidates we have submitted.

Should you engage a candidate submitted by us, or purchase other of our services, we will need to collect and hold data to make checks on credit-worthiness and trading history and to hold pertinent financial details about your company for financial and accounting purposes.

We must draw to your attention that, in some circumstances, information may be transmitted to and stored on secure servers of our associated companies outside the EEA, for use only by authorised staff in connection with Volt's business activities. An intra-group agreement regarding Data Protection compliance is in place and Volt's parent company, Volt Information Sciences Inc., complies with the privacy requirements of the Safe Harbor program approved by the EU in July 2000. (See http://www.volt.com/common/SafeHarbor.cfm.)  Unless notified otherwise, we assume your consent is given.

You have a right to know about the information Volt Europe holds about you by written request and on payment of a fee. If you have any queries about this statement or any of the Data Protection practices of Volt Europe, you may contact us by emailing dataprotect@volteurope.com.
